Commentaries In The Sclera: Sinus Polyps/Dizziness
Head Zone: Right Sclera: Focus on Chronic Sinusitis, Dizziness
Person: Female, Born 2.27.42
Presenting Chief Complaints: Sinus problems including polyps; dizziness from sinus pressure.
Commentary: Besides the sinus area line in the 12:30 area, the insights from the sclera show us there is another concern in the head zone that's not accountable with the sinus stress line. After three office visits her story became more clear. Then I could understand the major line at 11:00, and provide the deep acting constitutional therapy.
As often happens, it was the mental and emotional discussion that revealed the greater "chief complaint" and it was something she did not realize would be important in her case. In other words, she did not know that the reason she was consulting was much deeper than the frequent sinus infections.
Here are the other symptoms that became part of her case: she had low self esteem, sexual disinterest for over 25 years, was afraid of her anger because it was so explosive, history of nervous breakdown (hospitalized but got little to no help from counseling), blames herself for her parents divorce, Inability to orgasm. She had thoughts she could effectively communicate.
So now, we have some understanding of the line at 11:00 as well as the chronic sinus stress pattern at 12:00 that curves out into the 12:30 area. In this case, it is noteworthy that the sinus line begins at the 12:00 "Animation of Life" life area, because the "cause" of the sinus symptom turned out to be much deeper that bacterial infections and weak tissue.
Here's what emerged in her case. Her father and his brother sexually abused her at age 6 to 7. Her parents divorced. She has not seen her father since that time. She felt she was involved in driving her father away. In her late teens she began having lesbian relationships (1959). She endured criticism and humiliation as a result with a particularly mortifying event of discovery of her secret.
Thus, another theme emerged in her case - that of abuse, suppressed anger, and inability to express her feelings. Humiliation and grief were never overcome and have affected her ever since. Coming from the 11:00 line's hook on the end (her attempt at containment) are two fine lines with one leg touching the iris. Try as she would, she could not contain the effects of grief, anger, and mortification.
Further, in the 10:00 to 11:00 region are numerous "nerve fray" lines depicting the inner struggle of emotions.
As the core issues were addressed, the sinus line lightened of its own accord. As mental and emotional health recovered and adapted, self esteem improved, and the sinus condition improved. On all accounts, all symptoms improved.
Without the insight in the sclera, practitioners could have treated the chronic sinus condition for the rest of her life without touching the cause of the disturbance. The sclera showed other, well concealed issues that became a turning point in this person's life.
